Forever loved or hated as 'Dennis Pennis', Paul's role as ‘Kenny’ in BBC1’s comedy/drama “2000 Acres of Sky” (Zenith Prods) brought his talents to the attention of a brand new audience and indeed, his demise left a nation bereft!
Added to this, Paul starred in two series of “Perfect World” (Tiger Aspect Prods for BBC2), presented a gameshow, "Liar" (TalkBack Prods for BBC2), starred in the UK feature, "Blackball" and appeared in Moira Buffini's "Dinner" at Wyndham's Theatre, London. His starring role in "It's All Gone Pete Tong" brought new accolades a-plenty! Winner of best film at the Toronto Film Festival, Gen Art Film Festival and US Comedy Arts Festival, Paul's performance, in particular, drew great acclaim.
Paul played the lead in "Pickles", enjoyed a great cameo in "Hustle" and is the voice of 'Dr. Wasabi' in "Choc Socky Chooks" - an Aardman animation.
'Mike Strutter', Paul's newest creation, can be seen on MTV1, Sundays, 10.30pm and the first series can be viewed online... |
