The Secret Gardeners are Josie Stuart, Cara Jennings and Jemma Freudenberg Morphet. They are friends, colleagues and lovers (of comedy).
They have been working creatively together as writer/performers since they met on a brick wall in Bristol where they were studying Drama.
In 2004 they took their show “Millie and Tillie Do You!” to The Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Pleasance). In the same year they reached the final of the Babycham Funny Women Awards at The Comedy Store.
As a result of these successes ('Highly charismatic performers' The List), they have been involved in development writing for TalkbackThames.
More recently they’ve been working on a three handed sketch show “The Secret Gardeners”, which has been positively received by audiences and critics alike (“the gardeners are masters of pace… downright hilarious” rethinklondon.com)
They are not, of course, conjoined and can be considered separately for anything remotely interesting! |
