Victoria Coren is a writer and journalist. She writes a weekly topical column in The Observer, a weekly poker column in The Guardian, and freelance articles for other national newspapers and magazines. She has also written two books (both non-fiction) and the stage play "A Lump In My Throat", adapted from the columns of John Diamond, which she then re-adapted for a BBC TV film starring Neil
Pearson.
On radio, she has presented "Off The Page" and two series of "Fourth Column" for Radio 4, as well as appearing as a guest on various other radio comedy and discussion shows.
On television, she has presented the words series "Balderdash & Piffle" for BBC2, two single documentaries for BBC4/BBC2 (one on language and the other on surrealist art), and two series of the gambling-themed chat show "Bar Beat" for the poker channel.
As a poker and gambling specialist, she has provided the commentary for "Celebrity Poker Challenge" on ITV, "Ultimate Poker Challenge" for Channel 5, "Celebrity Poker Club" and "Casino Casino" for Challenge TV, as well as guest commentary on various other international televised poker tournaments. |
