Heshima Thompson
Heshima Thompson is one of 2010’s ‘‘ones to watch’’ following his nomination for SCREEN NATION AWARD 2009 in their ‘‘Young Shooting Star’’ category.
His extensive work as an actor includes television roles in ‘‘CASUALTY’’ (BBC), the lead role of Jez in ‘‘SPOOKS: CODE 9’’ (BBC), ‘‘CITY LIGHTS’’ (ITV), starring opposite Helen Mirren in the final series of ‘‘PRIME SUSPECT’’ (ITV), ‘‘AHEAD OF THE CLASS’’ (BBC), ‘‘JUDGE JOHN DEED’’ (BBC) and 2 series of the BBC hit series ‘‘BABYFATHER’’ to name a few.
His theatre credits include productions at The Young Vic in Sacha Wares ‘‘GENERATIONS’’ and at The Royal Court for Sean Holmes hit ‘‘INCOMPLETE AND RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS’‘.
Alongside his growing acting career, for the past two years Heshima has sang and toured the world with Amy Winehouse, contributing to her 5 x Grammy win and 50 x Platinum success.
He was also approached by girl group ‘‘FYA’’ to write for their new album. Putting his song writing skills to use he co-wrote a song with his brother Zalon called “Can We Dance” which went Gold in Japan. Heshima is currently working on Zalon’s album, which is being produced by Grammy Super producer Mark Ronson due out later this year.
