Matt was nominated for the prestigious BAFTA ‘Breakthrough Talent’ Award after his recent films The Autistic Me, and The Autistic Me - One Year On were broadcast on BBC. He went on to win the Top Factual Talent award from the TV Collective, in recognition for his work on the films, plus his previous film for Channel 4, My Dad The Serial Killer.  His four short films ‘25 Years’ appeared on Channel 4 as part of the channel’s 25th anniversary celebrations.

In addition to his film-making, Matt is in demand as both a writer and comedian.  Recently he’s finished writing on Wallace And Gromit’s World of Invention for BBC1, toured the country supporting Mock The Week regular Stewart Francis, and appeared as part of the illustrious ‘AAA Stand Up ’ show in Edinburgh at The Pleasance Courtyard. As a comic he was nominated as Comedian of the Year in England’s biggest comedy festival, the Leicester Comedy Festival, as well as being a finalist in various major new act competitions when he started out, such as Edinburgh’s Laugh Off 2008, and New Act of the Year 2007.
