Sam Delaney

Sam Delaney is a journalist, broadcaster, author and the former editor of Heat magazine.

He is a regular host on Talksport and has also presented his own shows for BBC 5Live and BBC London 94.9

He recently presented the BBC Three documentary ‘Sex, Lies And Gagging Orders’ which looked into the phone hacking and superinjunction scandals.

Previously, he has written and presented documentaries for Channel 4 (on teen crime) and Channel Five (on pop culture). In 2007 he presented the well-received BBC Three documentary ‘Bust My Ass’ about civil liberties and the right to protest.

He has a weekly news review slot on Sky Sunrise with Eamonn Holmes and works as a pundit on news, sport and entertainment across various TV and radio stations.

He has published two books: ‘Get Smashed – The Story Of The Men That Made The Ads That Changed Our Lives’ (2007) and ‘Night Of The Living Dad – Confessions Of A Shabby Father’ (2009)

He has 14 years experience of writing in the national press for The Guardian, The Sunday Telegraph, the NME, The Independent, Grazia, Cosmopolitan, The Big Issue, Four Four Two, The New Humanist and countless others. He is a columnist for The Guardian and has written columns for The Sun too.

In a past life he was a parliamentary researcher for Gordon Brown and Harriet Harman.
