Jake Canuso

Jake Canuso started his career as a dancer and at the tender age of 16 became the youngest member of Zurich’s leading contemporary dance company.

Following a move to London via Paris and New York and a career that lasted nearly 2 decades, (and helped him become fluent in six languages) Jake worked with some of the leading choreographers and companies in the world; and eventually took a more commercial side by performing, choreographing and touring the world with some of the world’s biggest recording artists including Annie Lennox, Take That, Elton John and The Spice Girls to name a few.

Jake finally crossed over as an actor and has built up an extensive CV. Widely known as Matteo in the hugely successful ”Benidorm” for ITV, his most recent television credits include the second series of ”Bad Education” (BBC / Tiger Aspect), ”Cardinal Burns” (Left Bank / Channel 4), ”The Bible” (Channel 5), ”The Hour” (BBC) ‘‘Keen Eddie’’ (Paramount), ‘‘Hustle’’ (BBC), ‘‘Shameless’’ (Ch4), ‘‘Suburban Shoot Out’’ (Ch5), to name a few.
