David Reed
David is an award-winning actor, writer & comedian.
His TV credits include “Endeavour”, “Adult Material”, “Ghosts”, “Beyond Paradise” and “Daddy Issues”.
A talented improviser he has performed for “Showstopper!: The Improvised Musical”, “Austentatious”, “The Comedy Store Players” and “Fast & Loose” (BBC2).
As a writer he's written over twelve hours of Penny Dreadfuls radio shows and an animated series called “The Real History of Sex”. His playwrighting debut, “Guy Fawkes”, opened at York Theatre Royal in 2022 with David in the titular role. He also wrote an episode of the second series of “Daddy Issues”.
David and Humphrey Kerr’s theatrical extravaganza, “Sherlock Holmes & the Twelve Days of Christmas” - with songs by Sirs Andrew Lloyd Webber and Sir Tim Rice -debuted at the Birmingham Rep over Christmas to both great audience and critical acclaim. The pair also starred as Sherlock (Humphrey) and John Watson.
David has just finished script-editing and performing in the second series of “The Many Wrongs of Lord Christian Brighty” (DLT Entertainment for BBC Radio 4).
